Summer is on the Way!

 Hello there!

I know, I know, a new release in less than a year, I'm clearly unwell! Oh, and before anyone says anything, it is entirely okay for me to wear a cock on my ass, it's Da Vinci. It's art...

Anyway! This one is really simple, I wanted a cute dress to show off my legs. Oh, and I wanted it to have just a bit more to it than a simple halter neck or tank top. Soooo... this is it.

I went diving into various rabbit holes and came out with a brand new original pattern that I made all by myself, and some genuinely wonderful things to splash all over this dress. Then I got curious about whether some of my more established Evelock Original Fabrics might work, and they did! All in all, very exciting stuff.

I'm selling this one in four different mini packs, and one enormous fatpack:

Size wise, I am providing Belleza Freya, Slink Hourglass, Kupra, Maitreya Lara and Maitreya Petite.

Every pack gives you 9 plain silks - Black, Blue, Copper, Gold, Green, Ivory, Purple, Red, Rose - and some prints...

The Florals - These are the floral patterns I've made and keep on coming back to because they just make me happy. In this pack you can choose from Daisies, Hibiscus, Jasmine on Dark, Jasmine on Light, Roses and Wisteria.

The Klees - I love art, and I especially love to see art in unusual places. This dress told me it needed some Klee artwork, so I obliged and you can choose from Birds Swooping, Black Columns, Harbinger of Autumn, Persian Nightingales, Red Green or Theatre Mountain Construction.

The Lilies - This is my newest Evelock Original Fabric and I'm so happy with it. I still can't decide which colours I like best so you get to choose. Blue on White, Blue on Blue, Blue on Red, Pink on White, Pink on Purple, or Red on White.

The Randoms - So, sometimes I just have fun and throw things around and this pack is the result of that! You can choose from London Map, World Map, Vitruvian Man, Windclock, Ticklish and Retro!

THE FATPACK - Well, it's the 9 plain colours and all of the prints, 33 options in one easy HUD.

I felt that this dress needed a little bit of sheen to make it special, so I opted for a silk fabric and played around with getting a subtle iridescence. I'm pretty happy with how it came out. I do hope you like this one as much as I've enjoyed making it.

Available, as always, from the Studio, or on Marketplace, whichever is easiest for you.

I love hearing from you, so if you have any comments, please do ping me. In the meantime, I hope all your lives are treating you well,

Bright blessings

Spring has Sprung!!

 Hello there!

Now that the weather is starting to improve, and at least some of the world is getting a grip on how to handle the covid monster, I'm starting to think about going outside and enjoying the sunshine. I like to be comfortable, but I don't see why I should sacrifice style for that, am I right?

So, I found a wonderful style of dress... easy going, comfortable, stylish and easy to dress up or dress down. Awesome! And to me the woman that most epitomises that easy going but stylish thing, is Kate Hudson, so I named the dress after her, I hope she doesn't mind! Here it is.

I chose a soft touch viscose/cotton jersey for the fabric and after I had got my colours sorted out, I decided that some prints were needed. Now, I love the Arts and Crafts movement, and in particular I adore all the William Morris prints. Yes, we're used to seeing them on wallpaper, but why not on dresses too? So I've done exactly that, and I'm very happy with the results. I do hope you enjoy wearing your dress as much as I enjoyed making it!

I'm providing this dress in Maitreya, Maitreya Petite, Freya, Hourglass and Physique sizes, with a 20-option Texture Change HUD. You can get it in the usual places, but please do try a demo to make sure it fits your shape nicely!! Head to the Studio, or to Marketplace to grab your demo.

I hope all of your lives are treating you well,

Bright Blessings,

Eve :)

Happy Halloween!!

 Hello!

I'm just about ready to start in on carving pumpkins, how about you? I do love the fun of Halloween, and of course I enjoy dressing up, who doesn't? Sometimes, though, I want to wear something that honours the holiday without being completely OBVIOUS about it, you know?

You can tell where I'm going with this, can't you? Yep, I made another thing! Well, two actually and only just in time for the spooky season too.

The Kelly Outfit is a top and skirt that sit happily enough together that it looks like a dress. Bonus! I love three-in-one deals! One of the most stylish women, in my eyes, is Grace Kelly. She had a classy elegance and beauty that had nothing to do with flashing all the flesh and everything to do with just looking drop dead gorgeous. I believe that if she was around today she might wear something like this outfit, which is how it got its name! Please have a play, the top will work nicely with quite a wide range of bottoms, and the skirt should play nicely with a fair few tops and jackets. Each piece is controlled individually via the HUD, so you can match top and bottom or contrast depending on your mood.

I love this particular style so much that  I plan to make more fabrics for it, so I will be releasing this in small sets. Each set will feature a uniquely designed Evelock fabric and complementary plain shades. So far, I have had way too much fun with:

Bones - Who doesn't want cheeky skeletons dancing across their body?!

Ghost - Just a bunch of ghosts having fun all over your outfit!

Available in Maitreya, Slink Physique and Belleza Venus sizes.

Materials enabled for a gentle sheen as the light passes over you. I've put a rainbow effect across the specular layer for that iridescent touch (only on the silk options, the suede has its own thing going on), but do feel free to mess around and try different tints on the layers, you might find something wonderful! Just take a copy first, in case of disaster :)

One tiny word of warning - I left the outfit modifiable so that you can play with tints. That's great, BUT ... if you change the description of the object, then the HUD will no longer work, so just be careful please :)

Price: 300L$ for a Single style, with 3 different options for the top and 3 different options for the skirt, 9 possible combination via an included HUD.

BUT... for the next 24 hours, in-world only, you get 50% of the price refunded to you instantly! At this display ONLY! HURRY! Of course, if you'd rather pay full price, you can get it on the Marketplace too!

So there you have it, a classy and elegant everyday outfit with a little touch of fun. I do hope you like it!

I hope all your lives are treating you well,

Bright Blessings

Eve :)

If I Were a Rich Girl...

... I would probably spend all my money very quickly!

*** READ ON FOR A SPECIAL OFFER FOR 24 HOURS ONLY, ONLY IN-WORLD ***

Hello! I have another new release for you lovely people. As you know, I often make things as a result of frustrations with what is readily available...

This time, I wanted to wear something that nodded to the vintage style of the 40s and early 50s but didn't DEMAND that I go the whole hog and add victory rolls. Something that looked sexy but not too 'try hard'. I think Gwen Stefani has amazing style and no matter what she wears she looks as groomed as a golden-age pinup, but as fresh and edgy as anyone today. So, the dress had to bear her name, because I think she would absolutely rock this one!

The usual agonies were had over texture options, but it did give me a chance to play with a new fabric design I had, so of course we end up with far more textures than are needed, and with strict and ruthless whittling down, I got it to only 16! I love options, and I love to mix it up, so naturally, I made it so that the top, belt and skirt are all individually changeable via the HUD... scary maths give us the answer of over 4000 possible combinations!

Available in Maitreya, Slink Hourglass and Slink Physique sizes.

Materials enabled for a gentle sheen as the light passes over you. If you're feeling adventurous, do have a play with the tint on the specular layer via the edit menu and see if you can find a colour that delights your soul. But do make sure you are working on a copy so that if you mess up, it's all okay.

One tiny word of warning - I left the dress modifiable so that you can play with tints. That's great, BUT ... if you change the description of the object, then the HUD will no longer work, so just be careful please :)

Price: 600L$ for a 'fatpack' with 4000 texture options

***FOR 24 HOURS, IN-STORE ONLY, YOU WILL HAVE HALF OF THE PURCHASE PRICE REFUNDED TO YOU IMMEDIATELY***

If you'd rather pay full price, you can also grab it from Marketplace. But going to the Studio is the better option if you want to save 50% in the next 24 hours!

So there you have it, a retro yet contemporary dress which I hope you agree is versatile and comfortable in almost any setting!

I hope all your lives are treating you well,

Bright Blessings

In-Creed-ible!

I know, I know, you thought I had died or something. Not true, I've just been very busy relocating and improving my life!

Anyway, it happened again, I needed a thing and couldn't find it, so I made it. This time, a dress. Well, a skirt and a top that look like a dress. I should just show you the sales burble, shouldn't I?

Evelock Creed Dress

Often, I wind up making products because I have an idea for something and can't find anything to realise it in my inventory, nor in Marketplace. This is most especially true of clothing! I don't think I'm any more creative or clever in my ideas than anyone else, but I might have the edge on the stubborn-ness to cling to an idea rather than settle for something 'close enough'.

The Creed Dress is one of those occasions. I wanted formal wear, but I didn't want that over-polished, stiff, uncomfortable formal look. I wanted to feel like I could breathe and move freely in my outfit. So having found the right skirt, the hunt was on for the top that did the right thing. And finally, the textures had to be just right too. And, that is how the 'dress' was born. I made the Wisteria texture first, because I adore wisteria and had already made a fabric texture using them. I wore the dress to a party, and was told in no uncertain terms I had to sell it, which is how it got its name. Thank you, Anna :)

Naturally, more than one texture was needed, and 8 became the magic number. The options are:

Daisies with a fade from white to soft yellow/orange on the skirt

Hibiscus with a fade from white to strong magenta on the skirt

Pansies with a fade from white to violet on the skirt

Poppies with a fade from white to soft red on the skirt

Roses with a fade from white to deep pink/red on the skirt

Ticklish (feathers) with a fade from white to darkest grey on the skirt

Windclock (dandelions) with a fade from white to deep chambray blue on the skirt

Wisteria with a fade from white to purple on the skirt

It looks like a dress, but is actually a matched top and skirt, and you can wear both separately, I think the top looks super cute with shorts or jeans, or a little flippy skirt! Available in Maitreya, Slink Hourglass and Slink Physique sizes.

Materials enabled

Price: 200L$ per single colour, 900L$ per fatpack of 8 colours

So there you have it, a relaxed yet formal 'dress' which I hope you agree is perfect as we move through spring towards summer. Available, as always in the Studio, or on marketplace!

I hope all your lives are treating you well,

Bright Blessings

Siren Calling

Hello!

Me again. Yes, really me, I haven't been hacked, I just got my shit together more quickly than usual.

LOTS of news for you this time. First up, there is a NEW Evelock Studio! How exciting is that? I have more space and the layout is a lot simpler. Go upstairs for furniture and stay downstairs for everything else. Please do drop by and have a nosey, I'd love to hear what you think of the new place. Click the link over on the right there for a SLURL, or just click here.

So, I have another new release for you! The Siren range from Evelock is a co-ordinated complete outfit comprising a shot silk gown with gem embellishments, a pair of shoes and a jewellery set. I have also included the corset separately so you can wear it with jeans or leggings.

As is so often the way, the Siren range started out with a tiny idea and grew and grew and grew. It has been growing for so long that I can't remember why I chose the name Siren, but I still love it and I think it captures the slinkiness of the garment.

I was inspired by some gems and wanted to create something that was organic and asymmetric but still glamorous. This led to the jewellery happening.

Then I found a dress mesh that I loved and thought it would work nicely with a shot silk effect, and it did! Then I decided it needed a little more oomph, and tried the siren jewellery shapes... and that worked too! Thus was the Siren dress born.

Some wrestling with colour combinations later, naturally I decided the dress needed shoes to match...

... this is entirely normal. I start out with a small, gentle, easy to do idea and wind up with a massive collection of things!

Shot silk is one of my very favourite fabrics in real life. That magical effect when the light hits the material from a different angle and the navy suddenly flashes turquoise! I have used the Advanced Lighting Model in Second Life to recreate the shot silk effect. You do need ALM to be on to see the light playing across the dress and the shoes, but I promise it's worth it!

I have created 11 combinations that I love, but if you're the creative type and comfortable with the standard edit menu, have a play with the tint on the specular layer and see if you can come up with a personal combination of tint over base that delights you, but please take a copy first in case you mess it up!

The 11 colours are:

Blacklight - a Black base with a strong violet overlay
Blush - a strongish pink with a blue overlay
Bronze - a bronze colour with a yellow overlay
Copper - a copper colour with an orange overlay
Forest - a deep green with a lime overlay
Ice - a pale blue with a strong turquoise overlay
Peacock - a navy base with a strong turquoise overlay
Scarlet - a deep crimson with a bright scarlet overlay
Snow - the palest possible blue with a violet overlay
Steel - a steel grey base with a blue overlay
Ultraviolet - a rich purple base with a hot pink overlay

I had such a blast creating this range, I hope you enjoy wearing it. Right now, you can get your hands on it by visiting my friend Kika's sim, Strict Venus (blog here)and taking advantage of the exclusive pre-release special offer of 25% off, for one week only. Hurry, hurry, hurry that is only seven days! Technical details after the break. For now, thank you for your time, I hope all your lives are treating you well,

Bright Blessings,

Eve :)

Rambling Roses

Hello!

I bet you didn't expect to hear from me so soon, eh? To be honest, neither did I, but there was a party and I couldn't find the dress I wanted to wear, so I made one, which, in typical fashion, turned into six and here we are again!

This time, it's an elegant, slinky gown that hugs your curves with a nice swoosh of fabric around your ankles. I added some roses as optional brooches to provide a bit of flair and drama if that's your kind of thing. Just leave them off if not. No HUDS, nothing fancy, just a simple gown you put on and go - Slink Physique, Belleza, Maitreya Lara and Fitmesh XS to XL sizes are included in the pack. Priced to be affordable at a very reasonable 125L$.

If you're feeling particularly creative, have some fun with the brooches. Maybe wear them somewhere else, or rip them apart and use bits. You can also further personalise the gown itself by using the standard edit menu. But, please, please, PLEASE take a copy before you start so that you still have the original should it not go entirely according to plan.

I do hope you enjoy wearing this as much as I did making it, and that all your lives are treating you well. You can grab them in the usual ways, either in-world at the Studio, or on marketplace.

Bright Blessings

Eve :)
